Abstract
결론
Angle씨 III급 부정교합에서, activator를 장착시켰을 때 일부 저작근 활성의 변화를 근전도
학적으로 분석하기 위해 7세에서부터 12세까지 (평균 8.9세)의 13명의 남자아동과 10명의 여
자 아동을 대상으로 하여, 치료전, 장치장착 직후, 장치장착 20일 후, 3개월 후, 최대교합시
켜 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
1. 장치장착 전, 최대교합시 전측두근의 활성도는 유의한 차이가 없었다.
2. 장치장착 직후, 최대교합시 교근과 전측두근의 활성도는 장착전보다 유의하게 감소되었
다.
3. 장치장착 20일 후, 최대교합시 교근과 전측두근의 활성도는 장착 직후보다 유의하게 증
가되었지만, 장착전의 교근과 측두근의 활성도에 비교했을 때는 유의한 차이가 없었다.
4. 교근과 전측두근을 비교했을 때 장치장착 20일 후 교근이 유리하게 증가되었지만, 장치
장착 3개월 후에는 유의한 차이가 없었다.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of activator on EMG
activity of some masticatory muscles in Angle Class III malocclusion. The subjects were
consisted of 23 chidren with class III malocclusion, 13 boys and 10 girls, ranging in age
from 7 to 12 years(mean 8.9 years).
The EMG activity from the anterior temporal and masseter muscles was recorded
during maximal biting in centric occlusion before, immediately after, twenty days and
three months after wearing the activator.
The following results were obtained ;
1. Before wearing the activator, there was no significant difference in EMG activity
between the masseter and anterior temporal muscles.
2. Immediately after wearing the activator, the EMG activity in the masseter and
temporal muscles was markedly reduced.
3. Twenty days after wearing the activator, the EMG activity in the masseter and
temporal muscles was markedly increased compared to that obtained immediately after
wearing the activator and was not significantly different from that obtained before
wearing the activator.
4. The significant difference appeared in EMG activity between the masseter and
anterior temporal muscles after twenty days of wearing the activator, but disappeared
after three months of wearing the activator.
